Hey... it is my dream to visit Malacca since last year and my wish granted! thanks GOD.
So here we were in Malacca for our own first academic trip of the semester... LSB (lawatan sambil belajar in Malay they called...). Our journey from campus to historic Malacca was around 9 hour +++... i guess by chartered bus and we leaved after midnight around 12.30-1.00 am. Actually i kinda like the idea of traveling at this hour because you can save the accommodation for a night! yeah... miss my backpacking moments
DAY 1 - Malacca
The first stop was Mini Malaysia & Asean Cultural Park. Special thing about this place is that they have two main exhibition which is the traditional house in Malaysia and Southeast Asia countries as well, but do to some renovation works ongoing, only Malaysia houses were being open to the public.

After hours spent here, we were then finally reached the heart of the heritage Malacca. Here are the pictures taken. I will keep my text short. Let the pictures tell you. hehehe
The truth is i don't really have the time to fully stroll this heritage city as we have assignment to do. My group was assigned to do some basic case study on Islamic Museum.
We spent almost 2-3 hours doing floor plan measurement and took photos and did some sketching. i will plan to go there again... there are important landmarks which i couldn't reach due to time constraint.
I have the chance to ride the Taming Sari Tower, and this is my footage. I was really amazed by the view. Finally i have the chance to see the Malacca river flowing from the land to the Malacca strait, i know the water is murky but hello this is where the first Sultanate in Malay Peninsular took reign. Woah! haha
At night, we were then went on river cruise. I read in news before, the redevelopment of the Malacca river banks wins the Gold Green Apple award from The Green Organization. I never knew what it was looked like before, it was mentioned the river was in Grade 4, but now in Grade 2 and slowly the local authorities try to put the river in position of Grade 1. hopefully their environmental effort will make it.
i noticed that they beautify this river very much which at some point contradicts to their effort. My saying. From my perspective, an understanding on the local ecology aspects, in order to attract the indigineous species back to its own habitat, the presence of so much light might cause disturbance to the organisms because they are numbers of creatures living in river banks are nocturnal. the presence of continuous light will only hinder them from coming back i guess. This is only my personal view and theory and yet to be prove by some scientific measures. Well its okay, the local authorities at some point has the intention on doing towards that sustainable development.
So we finished the cruise and went to Negeri Sembilan to check in to our hotel!
The journey suppose to reach before midnight, but seems 2-3 out of 5 buses got lost hahahaha! and we reached to the hotel at night. It was a remote place, well connected by road but the telecom coverage was not really good and everyone had their bearing away.
It was really nice resort. Each of us got our own bed and the room is superb with aircond, there was only no hot showers installed lol. The location was very adjacent to the sea (Malacca strait).
Day 2 (Port Dickson Beach)
So the morning came after good rest sleep, we went to the famous Port Dickson public beach. We suppose to have a beach cleaning activity but we were informed that we can't got contacted with the local authorities and we ended up having picnic there! hahaha...
It was nice beach, i took bath there and doing some food trailing along the beaches to find something good to grab. I can say it was nice.
Day 3 (the Resort)
In morning, we have our own sukaneka. It was hilariously fun. One thing for sure i figured out that, HBPians are not suppose to get contact with water. hahahaha i do mean it, it was started during orientation week and last until now. They are to be crazy as contacted to water, Everybody was watering and splashing everybody and the scene went crazy and chaos. LOL!
At the final night, we had our own BBQ and each of groups was then present their own performance, my group present a choir. Di sini lahirnya sebuah cinta, a patriotic song.
Last Day
We packed and went back to USM!
